No, you're not making it all about you.
But you are realising that God wants to use you. And how can God do that if you’re not in the picture? Sometimes I fear our well-intended desire to stay humble can also rob us of our calling and our purpose.
Humility isn’t about being inferior or hiding. It’s about understanding where all of our gifting comes from – from God of course. Once we realise that God has put the gifts in us, then we start to understand that the true measure of success is all about obedience and faithfulness to do what God wants us to do with it.
If God wants you to write songs and let people experience a little slice of heaven on earth, shouldn’t you do that?
If God wants you to build a profitable business that can take care of your family and create meaningful work for others, shouldn’t you do that?
Of course we can see that some do become worldly in their desire for fame, riches and all that jazz.
But building a brand doesn’t have to be about any of those things. Instead it’s about embracing who you are and what God is asking you to do. And then showing up with boldness to step into it.
I know what it’s like to shrink back from that because I did it for years. I hid my dreams about making music and starting a business behind the busy lifestyle of leading and planting churches.
But not any more. Because once I realised that in a strange sort of way, neglecting my dreams was actually disobedience, everything changed for me.

My aim in every session
1. Clarifying the vision
Getting a clear sense of what God is asking you to do. Acts 2 tells us that a mark of being filled with the Holy Spirit is that we will dream about the future.
2. Unpacking your strategy
Understanding the practical next steps to move forward. This is often where fear and incorrect theology show up disguised as humility.
3. Discovering real accountability
Making sure you actually get what you want by committing to do what you say you’ll do. Jesus tells us to let our yes be yes and our no be no.

This isn’t about getting lucky or chasing overnight success. This is about doing the honest, nitty-gritty internal work that makes building a brand possible.
How the session works
This is a relaxed one-to-one Zoom call. I listen carefully, help surface what’s really on your heart and reflect it back to you so you can clearly see who you are and what God is asking to build.
How to get the most from your session
This session is a space for you to be honest, say what you’re really thinking and voice what you actually want (not what you think you should want). All you need to do is show up unfiltered and as you are. My role isn’t to tell you what to do but to help draw out what’s already there, reflect it back to you and ask if you’re willing to commit to what God is calling you to do.
